Jim Bowie Festival
The Jim Bowie Festival & State Championship BBQ Throwdown is the last weekend (Friday and Saturday) of September. The festival is held on the the beautiful banks of the Mighty Mississippi River. Watermelon Festival in Farmerville

Teddy’s Bearfest
The Madison Parish Police Jury and the Madison Parish Tourism Commission holds an annual Teddy’s Bearfest. This historical celebration commemorates President Theodore Roosevelt’s successful bear hunting expedition in Madison Parish where he actually shot and killed his black bear.
