Louisiana State Parks Black Bear Golf Club

Launched in 2006 in Delhi, Black Bear is a 7,200 yard championship course with a layout immediately ranked as a GolfDigest America’s Best in 2007 and one of Golfweek Magazine’s BEST Courses for 2009. Black Bear plays host to the Adam’s Pro Tour but also attracts golfers of all levels with affordable rates, four sets of tees, a complete practice facility and pro line rental clubs.

With a slope of 141 and rating of 74.5 on our standard men’s tees, Black Bear spans a varied topography from tree-lined holes to open approaches. The result is a Bechtol-Russell championship design capable of hosting tournaments and outings, yet appealing to golfers of all skill levels. Expansive Tif Eagle greens, lush fairways, native grasses in all non-play areas make Black Bear a must play for your Louisiana getaway!

The Links at Muny

The 18-hole “Monroe” course at the The Links At Muny facility in Monroe, Louisiana features all the hallmarks of Louisiana golf. This municipal course just five miles from the center of  Monroe opened in 1929.

Chennault Park Golf Course

The 18-hole “Chennault Park” course at the Chennault Park Golf Course facility in Monroe, Louisiana features 7,042 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.6 and it has a slope rating of 115 on Bermuda grass. This municipal golf course opened in 1976 just five miles from the center of Monroe.

Frenchman’s Bend Golf Course

The 18-hole “Frenchman’s Bend” course at the Frenchman’s Bend Country Club facility in Monroe, Louisiana features 6,861 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.5, has a slope rating of 118 on Bermuda grass and was designed by Dave Marr/Jay Riviere. This public course is located just 11 miles from the center of Monroe. Frenchman’s Bend golf course opened in 1993.

Trenton Street Golf Course

The 9-hole “Trenton Street” course at the Trenton Street Golf Course facility in West Monroe, Louisiana is open to the public. It features 3,194 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course rating is 34.3 and it has a slope rating of 125. Trenton Street golf course opened in 1934. It’s five miles from the center of Monroe.
